LEY LINES 1.

Most Pagan sites & those now inhabited by Christian, Jewish & Muslim

buildings of worship are on ley lines or Telluric currents, [Named after the

Ancient Roman Goddess of Earth known as Tellus Mater.] Ley lines were also

known as Dragon or Serpent P aths in the East.

These currents of magnetic energy are latent in the Earth itself. Each line

or current is known as a ley or power line. To the Ancient Celts & other

Ancient peoples of the world, & those of Mystical thought, Occultists,

Wiccans & Modern Neo-Pagans, t he Earth was / & is a living organism. To

Wiccans & Neo- Pagans the Earth is also the material manifestation on the

physical plane of the Goddess, the Great Mother, who is the supporter &

preserver of all life on Earth. As a living organism, the p hysical Earth

itself is held to be nourished & sustained by a network of subterranean

arteries. These are similar to the veins & arteries of the body. [ As above

so below.] It is believed that these ley line form a grid of immense power.

The magneti c power flows through the ley lines like our blood does through

the veins. [The ancients also thought that there was tremendous power in the

blood itself, hence the cutting of wrists & exchange of blood in initiations

rites & the later corruption of this into blood sacrifice.]

This power & the channels through which it flows came to be known as WOIVRE

which means snake, a vivid descriptive appellation for something snaking its

way beneath the Earth's skin or surface & was connected with Earth wisdom /

power. The principal of Woiver was to explain such phenomena as underground

streams that fed Holy / Sacred wells, differences in geological strata & the

magnetic properties found in the Earth & metals that were thought to be

magical.

Where the ley lines crossed was considered very powerful, & Ancient man used

these points to do his honouring to his Gods & his magical work. Later

Temples were built on these sites. With the invasion of Christianity many of

these sites were deconsec rated & churches built over the sites, this was

done to encourage Pagans to join the new church. Strangely most of these new

churches were dedicated to Mary or if the site had originally been one to the

Horned God of nature & fertility, it was dedica ted to Michael the archangel

& his flaming sword to keep out the old God.

These power centres corresponded to the Chakras of the body according to the

Hindu & Buddhists, they called the ley lines Dragon paths & where they

crossed Dragon / Chakra centres of the Earth, centres of great power that

could be tapped by man for t he benefit of all.

In Occult thought both Dragon & Serpent are connected with power, energy &

wisdom ,it is also connected with the waters of life.

In the West they are termed Nerve Centres of the Earth. Certain of these

nerve centres were of immense consequence like the solar plexus in the human

body, others were more subtle. Both major & subtle centres in the Earth were

marked by Menhirs or st anding stones & are found world wide. The standing

stones were considered both fertilizing & curative to man & beast, &

represented the male principle in nature if upright, more rounded stones or

stones with holes in them, represented the female pri nciple.

Standing stones are like storage cells attracting & containing beneficent

influences of Earth & Sky.[ Mother & Father principals of Deity]

Where water sprouted out of the Earth naturally was considered a very

powerful site & was always honoured by the Ancients & considered places of

healing, a gift from the Goddess. These sites always had small temples

erected where people left offerin g to Her. Later these sites were given to

the various Mary's. To the Ancients, man was not divorced from nature but a

part of it, as were all creatures that inhabited the planet, if this were the

case, it was reasonable to conclude that the nerve cen tres of the Earth

itself corresponded to the nerve centres of man & beast. It was held to be

beneficial for people to gather in ritual on these power points & many

Pagans gathered on these points for the 8 festivals of the Pagan year.

BLESSED BE.

LEY LINES 2.

The ley lines in the human & animal are called meridians & it is along these

energy lines that the Ancient & modern Chinese acupuncture needles are placed

to effect a cure. This healing art dates back to 5000 years & more, & was

called CHEN- TS'U or "Needle Stab". It is the most Ancient & respected form

of healing which is still used today for both man & animal, in both East &

Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the TAO, an almost untranslatable

meaning approximately "The Path" or "The way of life". A man who lives in

harmony with the Tao, according to the forces of nature is a healthy man.

Flouting natural laws & p olluting the Earth causes chaos for man & beast

alike. Health expresses itself in the form of CHI' or life force / energy.

When CH' is not flowing smoothly & Harmoniously through the body or Earth,

sickness or emotional disturbance results in man & the planet. CHI' is

manifested in mankind as in the Universe in opposite & complimentary forces

of YIN /YANG.

Modern Aromatherapy, Acupressure Point Therapy, Magnetic Healing &

Reflexology are based on the same theory of YIN / YANG & the ley lines or

Meridians of the body. There are 12 main paired meridians on each side of the

body, each is linked to an orga n or Chakra point. Like the arteries & veins

of the human body that carry fresh oxygen & those that return depleted, the

Earth has the same system. Leys carry sweet / healing /powered water or

energy & contaminated water / energy that vibrates negati vely. This is known

as "Black water" / Negative energy. We are not sure how the Ancient peoples

discovered these leys, there are many theories from space men to divining

Using the term positive ley for sweet water, we know that where it is found

there is growth & harmony all along the ley, the atmosphere is both peaceful

& energising in quality & that it brings health & a feeling of well being.

Black or negative leys are depressive areas that bring stunted growth,

disease & mental unbalance to those who live or work along these leys. If

another negative ley crosses it at some point it is amplified. Many a haunted

place, be it a building or out door site is on one of these cross points.

Psychic persons will detect negative leys immediately by the strange

depressive quality they have, others are not so lucky, & they may experience

ill health, aggression, depression, confusion & suicidal tendencies.

EXAMPLES OF LEYS IN BRITAIN.

1. Isle of Wight, New Forest, Godshill, Clearbury Ring, Old Sarum, Ogbury

Camp, Stonehenge. Casterley Camp, White Horse, Stilbury Hill, & ending at

Avebury Circle

2. Foreland [Isle of Wight, Nettle Abbey, Romsey Abbey, Mottisfont Abbey,

Quarley hill, Seven Barrows, Sidbury Fort, White Horse, Stone Avenue,

ending in Avebury Circle.

3. Pewsey Down, Lands End, Burrow Mump, Glastonbury Tor, ending in the

southern edge of Avebury circle.

Alfred Watkins in his book "The old straight track" first revealed the

existence of ancient roadways running directly across country, up hill &

down dale from one ancient site to another, from stone monuments, wells,

barrow hills, circles or churches to another. Many other writers notably

John Mitchell have followed in the footsteps of Watkins.

EXAMPLES OF LEY LINES IN FRANCE.

1. From Cap FinistéÀre to Guingamp.

2. From Pau to Bayeux.

3. from Pau to Toulouse, Carcassonne to Les Stes Maries de la Mer.

4. Carcassonne, Limoges, Bourges, Paris.

For the Pagan tribes of Western Europe the Earth was the Goddess & She was

honoured all along the leys, the early Christians named Her " The Black

Madonna." These Black Madonna's were thought to be involved with mysterious

currents of healing energy , often called Telluric or Earth currents which

was thought to be latent in the Earth itself. Later the church demoted these

Goddesses / Madonna's to saints. These statues can be found through out

Europe in churches & they are still believed to have healing powers today.

Black Madonna sites & statues are always found along leys. The Ancient Celts

would travel along the ley from one Goddess site to another, on a sort of

healing pilgrimage, & their successors centuries later, would travel the sa

me ley to take the waters at various springs & spars to obtain healing At

each of these potent sites, a rapport would be established & confirmed with

the Earth Mother Herself, personified later by the Black Madonna & even later

still by a saint. She

was known by many names in Ancient times, some examples are: Gaia, Tea,

Tanent, Tari, Belisama, Arduina, Rosemertha, Neith, Nerthus, Frigg,

Tellus Mater, Taillte, Ama, Ops, Banba, Rhea, Sita & many more.

BLESSED BE.

LEY LINES 3.

Adapted from BRINSLEY LE POER TRENCH [ Temple of the stars]

Many places of antiquity such as the Great Pyramid at Giza, Avebury,

Stonehenge, The Temple of the Stars, [ Somerset] The Gate of the Sun [

Tiahuanaco] Glastonbury Tor & many others were placed on their Ancient sites

by their builders because they we re localities of high magnetic energy. It

is now evident that all these ancient places & many others all over the

world are linked by lines of energy called leys or Dragon paths.

In 1920 Alfred Watkins wrote two books, " Early British Trackways" & "The old

straight track" describing his discoveries of straight tracks or lines across

the whole country, linking standing stones, mounds, wells, groves of trees &

so called Christi an sites that dated back to ancient times. These tracks

were in exact alignment, Watkins called them leys from the old saying "

Taking the lay of the land". Another writer, John Mitchell has pointed out

that Watkins suddenly saw in a flash what none had seen for a thousand years

or since Pagan times.

Jimmy Goddard formed a " LEY HUNTERS CLUB" & did considerable work mapping

out additional leys. There was also a magazine called " THE LEY HUNTER"

edited by Paul Screeton carrying on research into leys & publishing articles

about the latest developme nts.

It is interesting to note that many U F O 's reported in the last decades

have been seen flying along these leys. A sleepy old town called Warminster

in Wiltshire which has a very ancient history, has been the centre of a

great deal of U F O activity in resent years & it is significant that 14

leys intersect here.

John Mitchell in his books has written about the Dragon paths or LUNG - MEI

that have been known about in China for millennia. Mitchell points out that

it is recognised that certain powerful currents, lines of magnetism run

invisible over the whole s urface of the Earth. [ Mitchell wrote "The flying

saucer vision" & " The view over Atlantis".] The task of the geomancer was to

detect these currents & interpret their influence on the land over which they

passed. These currents known as Dragon curre nts in China were of two kinds,

Yin & Yang or positive & negative & were represented by the WHITE TIGER & THE

BLUE DRAGON. The YANG current which is male takes higher routes over

mountains while the YIN which is female flows along chains of low hills , the

most favoured position was where the yin & yang crossed. Mitchell also states

" In China until recently, every building, every stone & wood was placed in

the landscape in accordance with the magical system by which the laws of

mathematics & mu sic were expressed in the geometry of the Earth's surface.

The strikingly beauty & harmony of every part of China, which all travellers

have remarked, was not a product of chance. Every feature was contrived

through the Dragon paths."

LEYLINES 4 By ANNA PAVORD

It is difficult for archaeologists & modern man to accept that the life of

megalithic man was not short & uncultured, that he seemed to have access not

only to sophisticated mathematical knowledge, but also to a much more arcane

knowledge that is now lost to us. It irritates our sense of superiority to

think perhaps he knew something that we do not. It brings into question our

reliance on the whole concept of progress, it raises a niggling suspicion

that perhaps we are travelling in the wrong di rection, away from instead of

towards the Earth. The problem is that we look at the past with eyes of the

present, with minds trammelled by generations of conditioning.

It is possible that the ley system will never make sense to us until we can

free ourselves from historical preconceptions & look upon the whole idea with

fresh eyes. In other words see it more mystically rather than from a

distance.

Alfred Watkins in his book, despite his apparent rejection of the mystical

aspect that dominates the present conception of leys, had a suspicion that

track ways / trade routes might not provide the complete answer, though

tracks might have evolved fr om an earlier system laid down for a different

purpose. He quotes more than 30 Bible references that he believed alluded to

the ley system. From Proverbs 8: 1-2 he takes the following quotation: " Doth

not Wisdom cry? & Understanding put forth Her vo ice? She standeth in the top

high places, by the way in the places of the paths."

The modern idea of the ley system is bound up with the concept of an Earth

force, of a pulsing, vibrant form of primal energy, the Earth Mother of the

ancient writings & beliefs.

Many contemporary writers on the subject believe that megalithic man

understood & practised a form of geomancy, & that he harnessed the Earth

force & was able to channel it along leys to use it for psychic purposes that

we no longer understand. Barrows, henges, earthworks, standing stones, stone

circles form the tangible legacy of these power lines. They were all elements

of a great communication grid, megalithic " radio masts" beaming energy in

specific directions. The major receiving stat ions were the ritual centres of

Avebury, Glastonbury & Stonehenge. These temples were built where the forces

of the Earth were concentrated most powerfully, & where ritual in some way

harnessed the force & utilised it for the benefit of the community .

The concept of " Earth energy" presupposes an Earth that is itself a living

being permeated with a strange force, a force that waxes & wanes, possibly

under the influence of the Moon or other planets. The force has polarity &

can be defined as either positive or negative but cannot be classified

simply as magnetic or electrical force. The strangest & most important thing

about it is that it seems to interact in some way with the human mind &

through it affects the working of the body as well. H undreds of ancient

sites throughout Britain are renowned in folklore for their healing

properties. Despite centuries of propaganda from the Church, the myths

survive, & the practises too. In Cornwall the power of the great Holed [

Holey stone] stone Men-an-tol has cured rickets in children.

Wells, long before they were dubbed "holy" by the Church were used ritually

for many different illnesses. Certain standing stones & stone circles,

invoked in a particular manner ensured the fertility both of crops & of

woman.

Anthropologists have noted how medicine men of the Sioux Indian tribe used a

particular megalith, Standing Rock in South Dakota, by pressing their spines

up against the stone to activate their psychic powers, using the serpent

force of the body.

A rock cleft in a wall of the fortress city of Sacsahraman in the Andes was

used by warriors in a similar way before battle, each warrior thrust his fist

into the crevice, which was shaped like a serpent standing on its tail, & so

receive, he believe d supernatural strength & courage. It seems the force was

not entirely imaginary, for a compass placed inside the cleft records a

magnetic anomaly powerful enough to make the needle swing violently.

BLESSED BE.

LEYLINES 5. TRACING THE SECRET ENERGY.

With his rod or pendulum, the dowser plays an important part in part in our

rediscovery of the lay system, for he acts as a conductor of Earth force,

either its positive or negative form. He also provides a useful link between

the practical & mystica l sides of the subject.

The starting point of the ley hunter is the map, on which he notes possible

ley markers. Then with a ruler & pencil, he tries to sort markers out into

meaningful alignments, which are checked in the field. The mystical ley

hunter relies instead on th e feelings he receives from certain sites. His is

an intuitive rather than a quantitative approach. He too may use a dowsing

rod or pendulum.

The dowser can follow clues provided by either method & come up with

corroborative evidence. He can dowse over the practical ley hunter's map,

even when all markers have been obliterated, & trace the course of the ley by

the gyrations of his pendulum .

The actual signal that the pendulum transmits varies from person to person,

but in each case there is a marked change in the reaction of the divining

tool, to positive or negative, often a switch from a clockwise to an anti

clockwise swing. Working w ith a pendulum or rod, the dowser can also stand

by an ancient ley marker &, by systematically quartering the ground & noting

the reaction of the diving tool, work out the pattern & polarity of the

energy that flows into, out of &, in some cases, ro und & round the site.

Occasionally, the dowser can pick up signals coming from a marker that has

been moved from its original position on the ley.

Tom Graves, in his book NEEDLES OF STONE, describes how he & another dowser,

Bill Lewis, found a 3 foot [ 1 metre] high markstone just inside the

churchyard wall of St Stephen's Church in St Albans, Hertfordshire. They had

been tracing an "over- grou nd", the dowser's term for the energy that

travels above ground along a ley system, down Watling street, the present A5

road. At the crossroads by the church, they found that the over-ground, which

ran up the middle of the road, did a sharp double be nd to " talk " to the

stone in the churchyard on the right, before continuing on its way North.

Dowers investigating cases of what seem to be deliberate non-alignments of

particular sites have also found that often an energy stream flows from these

places to one particular point on a major ley, forming tributaries that do

not themselves fall in to major alignments, but feed extra power into the

main system.

The difficulty in assessing the value of the concept of leys lies in the

facts that there seems to be such a huge number of them, & no particular

pattern has yet been observed in their makeup.

TRACKING DOWN LEYS.

The first stage in ley hunting is to find your ley on the map. Buy a large-

scale map-1: 50,000 is the best & place it on a table. Move a clear plastic

ruler over the surface: move it slowly, run your eye over the map, & let

your intuition do the work for you, alignments are not always obvious if you

attempt a systematic search. Remember that leys sometimes brush the sides of

markers rather than pass straight through the centres.

Now draw the ley on the map, using a sharp hard pencil. On a 1: 50,000 map

this will give you a line representing a strip of ground 11 yards [ 10

metres] across.

Ideally you should transfer your line to a larger-scale map to check the

accuracy of the alignments. And then check them in the field.

Take with you your map, a good compass, a pair of binoculars, a camera, a

note book & pen, lunch pack [& cakes & ale for offering, ] a large water

bottle & please wear suitable shoes or boots & take something warm for your

return journey.

Fieldwork will enable you to check the authenticity of the ley markers: are

the stone markers genuinely megalithic? How old are the churches you have

plotted as markers? You will find that local libraries & archaeological

societies can be useful here . And you may be lucky enough to discover a

markstone that is not shown on the map. Good hunting!

[Tracking down leys is best done while on holiday in Europe, in South Africa

churches are placed higgly piggily rather than on Pagan sites. Bright

Blessings,

Pagan.]

BLESSED BE.

LEYS 6.

We are all aware of the International Festival of Peace, celebrated over

Armistice & Remembrance days each year. It is now brought to our attention

that a third focal day is observed [ since the late eighties] by Pagans,

Shamans, Wiccans, Occult grou ps & New Agers world wide.

These groups of families, friends, covens & other resonant Circles of Light

work together to bring healing to the Earth Mother through one of Her Chakra

points situated on a major ley in South Africa, that of Table Mountain.

Due to the pollution & encroachment of the city of Cape Town, this chakra

point is in some distress at this point in time, causing a flow of negativity

in the general area, & radiating this negativity through the ley system,

affecting all.

Earth Healing Day follows Armistice day each year & is a day of creating a

pure space into which energy & healing may be channelled & utilised in the

up- lifting of consciousness & vibrations, which not only heal the Earth, but

in turn heal us & thos e that are unaware of these vibrations.

This healing work is done by all who care & love the Earth & it is done to

bring this chakra back into harmony with other chakras world wide through the

Ley lines or Dragon paths.

On this day through our visualisations, meditations, rites, ritual dancing,

Earth healing ceremonies & feasting, we unite as one & our thoughts are

instrumental in reactivating the Earth's ancient energy spiral & its energy

force, which is then distr ibuted along the radiating leys or dragon paths of

the planet Earth.

The major work to be done with regard to the energy body of our Mother, is

through the global energy wheel or Earth chakra which is focused at Table

Mountain for those of us living on the continent of Africa.

This mountain is a major planetary focal point for the inbeaming energies of

Aquarius & New world consciousness.

As we know Aquarius brings many changes. We must keep the balance between its

two ruling planets Saturn & Uranus. Saturn: wisdom, knowledge & order &

Uranus: new ideas & a too rapid breakdown of the old order, bringing chaos &

destruction in is wake .

By clearing this chakra, we will be aiding a smooth change over from the Age

of Pisces to that of the Age of Aquarius.

This chakra is the manifestation in time & space of the first 3 driver

wheels, in the distribution system of Earth.

It is allied to the Global Solar plexus Chakra at Uluru [ Ayer's Rock ] in

central Australia. At this stage in Earth's evolution, the solar plexus is

becoming the point of synthesis for the energies of the 3 lower self

consciousness in preparation fo r the Higher mind in the immediate cycle of

Although Mount Shasta in northern California, is at this time, the major

focus for sexual energy streams of Earth, Table Mountain is the point of

distribution within the global solar plexus wheel for the Earth's lower

creative energies, the forces & impulses for the continuation of the present

world system are filtered into mass consciousness through it. In other

words, all energies concerning the existing blue print for the Earth life

force & consciousness flow.

It is thus that we are called upon to acknowledge this responsibility by

joining others like ourselves, that care about the planet, by being present

on Table mountain on this day or doing meditation & rites elsewhere in some

wild spot this day, while strongly visualizing the mountain & the goal.

So that the inbeaming streams of raised energy will be enabled to perfectly

merge with the reawakening Earth energies that criss-cross our planet through

the ancient Ley system.

The need for there to be a conscious effort between all participants in the

global celebrations is great, as conscious, willing & loving vibrations will

generate a vortex of energy for those at the chakra centres to use in the

Earth Healing.

If possible set aside the whole day for this Festival of Peace, Healing &

Love. The programme is as follows: Dawn Rites, followed by meditation, ley

hunting, feasting, dancing, fun & games during the rest of the day, then a

bonfire is lit [ if poss ible, if not candles or lamps may be used instead.]

for the Sunset Rite.

For those who have other obligations, the choosing of either Sunrise rite or

Sunset Rite will help raise the energy level.

BLESSED BE.

DRAGON'S BREATH IN THE EARTH. LEYLINES 7.

Adapted from D.J. Conway, Dancing with Dragons, & other sourses.

Many of the old legends speak of killing the dragon. Sometimes, the real

meaning of this term is clarified when one is told that the dragon still

continues to live.

Of cause, if you are reading Christianized stories of dragons, the dragon is

always killed by a faithful saint or hero; this is a less subtle reference

to Christianity " killing " Paganism. But a great many legends were in

existence long before the Christians came along, for these dragon myths &

legends are found worldwide within every culture & some are as old as

religion itself.

Therefore the term " killing" must mean something far different than

destroying your religious rivals.

If you look at ancient Egyptian paintings of Horus & His Sun boat sailing

over Apep, sometimes called Apophis, the great Serpent of the underworld &

the dead or winter season, & read the ancient stories of these daily &

seasonal voyages, you become a ware that the word killing has a different

meaning.

The painting shows the God Set " staking " or guiding Apep by a series of

rods driven into the ground.

A similiar practise is still used to control or change the Earth's energy

forces in certain areas of the world, in the belief that out of control

dragon energy adversely affects humans, crops, animals, & the land in

general.

The Chinese emphasized the importance of controling " dragon's breath " in

architecture & landscape.

This is still a repected belief in Hong Kong & other places that have Chinese

communities. There are professionals adept at finding inbalances of the

dragons path that they term " dragon's breath ", & they are in demand, not

only by home owners, but by businessmen.

If a series of unexplained illnessnes or misfortunes strike a business, for

instance, the owner will go through the ordinary procedures to discover the

cause. If there is nothing found or nothing appears to alliviate the

problems, he will send for a person skilled in detecting a disruption of

dragon's breath; this person is called a Feng-shui diviner.

A visit to the premises is made. This Feng- shui diviner sometimes uses a

special magnetic compass that has 38 concentric rings around the needle. Each

ring is divided into special traditional measurements of space & time.

The diviner takes sightings along what are called veins / paths / meridians

of the dragon. These paths are raised features of the landscape, such as

trees, rocks, water courses, valleys etc.

Within buildings, the diviner considers such things like doorways, halls,

passage ways, drains [ inside & outside ] & the directions of corners & so

Any recommendations made by the diviner are implimented with great

seriousness. If possible, a small garden, aligned in certain ways, is made

for the dragon of the region. Inside a shrine is paced in a particuliar

corner or area to accommodate the re igning dragon being. Dragon images are

placed in both the garden & shrine to honour the dragon, & also to remind it

of its good fortune to be recognized & given respect by the human residents.

Offerings are made at the shrine then placed in the small garden.

Although cultures in the rest of the world may scoff at this, the Chinese

businessman or homeowner, will tell you that the problems have ceased, there

is no tension or illness, money matters have improved & peace has been

restored.

The Chinese word for dragon's breath is " sha ", a term which may correspond

to what European dowsers call " Black radiations / black water / black ley ".

For the past 50 - 60 years European dowsers have traced lines of black

radiations which seem to follow underground water bearing fissures or " black

streams".

These black streams produce an energy imbalance in the Earth, affecting

landscape, its vegetation, crops & any human or animals that live or frequent

the area.

Dowsers say that this is caused by quarrying, cutting through hills /

mountains for roads or buildings, removing or blasting certain stone

outcrops, removing large trees or groves & changing natural water courses,

causing leakeages & turning a positi ve ley to a negative one.

Certain dark / baneful rituals or deeds can also cause the area to become

baneful & harmful to all.

Signs of black or baneful spots or leakages are:

1. Feelings of general unease, nightmares & sleeplessness.

2. Manifestations & hauntings.

3.Stunted growth of vegetation, crops & fruit.

4. Health problems; headaches, nausea, muscular pain, stomach problems, tumors

& cancer.

5. General discord, arguments, tension, temper flare ups & violence.

6, Cold spots & feelings of wanting to flee or of being rooted to the spot.

7. Bad smells or rotting vegetation, or crops.

8. In vasion of insect kingdom, sometimes out of season.

9. Gereral bad luck, business & money matters.

The ancient peoples had more respect for the Earth than modern man, they

respected the Earth Mother's natural features & never disturbed them. The

mountains & hills, were revered, men of old knew that they were places of

power, & shrines, stone circl es or spirals were built to use the energy in

ritual & bonfires were lit on them to honour the Earth & its cycles.

Water & caves were also honoured, as were rivers, springs & streams, these

were also honoured with shrines for offerings of thanksgiving.

Only in times of great peril would people gather enmass on the top of hills &

mountains & then their structures were temporary. Ancient mans roads &

footpaths followed the natural course of the land. Modern man builds where he

pleases & destroys in t he name of his new gods.

Dowsers also maintain that landslides & erosion are also caused by disturbing

the energy of the ley, causing similar leaking of power, similar to the

leaking of the human aura with dis-ease.

Like an acupuncturist " staking ' a node on an acupuncture meridian to

restore balance in the human body, these dowsers stake the black streams with

iron rods. In Chinese terms, they are restoring theYin & Yang of the land

where the dragon's breath h as turned sour or noxious due to dis-ease. This

staking or guiding the dragon's Earth energies may have been an ancient art

which both balanced & collected these energies within a specific place.

BLESSED BE.

LEYS 8. DRAGON BREATH CONTINUED.

Dragons are connected in legends with mazes, spirals, corn circles,

labyrinths, & hills, coiling around them or within them. It is possible that

the terraced & spiral hills, the circles of stones, indeed the single

monoliths, were a method of contro ling & directing this natural force

within the Earth. With the spiral mounds & labyrinths the energy would have

been guided to the center of the structure where it would have been used to

initiates who understood its great potential & power.

In myths & legends this guided dragon energy would be symbolized by the

dragon coiling around a hill into its spiral form, such as in the legends of

Worming Hill & Bignor Hill Dragons in Britain.

The Vurm of Shervage Wood was said to lie in & out among the trees in the

area, its winding coils marking the boundries of an ancient campsite.

Archaeologists have long called these spiral-marked areas ancient campsites,

although common sence tells y ou that they could not be defended from

invaders.

This dragon energy may be a form of static electrical energy flowing

naturally in the Earth. It would explain the strange sensations one gets

within specific areas, especially in what are called sacred spots.

The sensations range from tingling in the fingers, spine or back of neck to a

great sence of peace, to a undentifiable strange feeling & in some people, a

rush of energy or the inducement of trance states & visions. Some come away

feeling nothing but a lightness of heart or mood change. What ever the

energy is, it is extremely strong wherever it is concentrated into a

contained area, such as the center of a stone circle, a spiral or ancient

temple & the Holy of holies within old churches.

There are other places, commonly known as power spots or power sinks, where

this energy appears to rise from the ground without any human made

structures.

These power spots cover a specific area of ground & have definate edges where

the energy phenomena cease to exist. [ Test with dowsing rod or pendulum]

Barrow mounds have long been associated with strange happenings connected

with magical beasts, portals into the land of enchantment, elf or copse

lights & the fairies.

Later the folk tales changed & the old Gods became the little people & were

melded in time with the elementals. As the years went by these little people

became nasty evil entities who torchered animals & stole human children. They

were to be avoided if possible, though some peasants still left them

offerings to keep them sweet natured, for man now feared the little folk

dressed in green.

The modern trend is the development of theories & sightings of U F O's along

leys, & abductions by little green men from Mars.

We know that if the ley system is an Earth energy sourse, then it would make

sense that visitors to our Solar system would use them, as we ourselves

should be using this natural energy as our ancestors did.

It may be that the priests & priestesses of the original builders of the many

ancient sites knew the forgotten techniques of situating these sites over

power flows, so that they collected & stored the energy as would batteries.

Among the celts, it was common practice for trained seers to spend the night

on such a barrow mound or grave to communicate with the dead, either to gain

information from the past or predict the future.

It has been documented several times within the last few centuries, that when

a barrow mound is disturbed / opened, strange & violent thunderstorms occured

soon afterwards. It would appear that there was a release of some kind of

contained energy, & that the release was done in such a way as was not safe

for such a build up. It may be that the so- called curse of the Egyptian

pyramids & tombs, was also the release of this dragon force that had been

contained for centuries, for the Egyptians too used this force to create

their structures, for the pyramids are all situated on leys converging on one

of the Earth chakra points.

Many stories tell of the dragon using a regular path, whether by air or land,

whenever it journeyed from one place to another. These paths are not

necessarily in straight lines. It is possible that these dragon paths

followed underground streams of e nergy connected to water from one sinkhole

of energy to another.

In his book FOLKLORE OF PREHISTORIC SITES IN BRITAIN, L.V. Grinsell tells of

a mysterious light commonly seen moving from a cairn at Torhousetie to a

water conduit & back; the conduit had been covered with a stone slab taken

from the cairn. In this i nstance it would seem that the cairn slab had

become so magnetized that the energy set up a new line of flow from the

sinkhole [ cairn].

Legend says that when the dragon's blood has been spilled, no vegetation will

grow there. Dowsors say that if something goes wrong with the Earth energy,

the same thing happens. One story of spilled dragon blood is connected to the

bare spot called D ragon Hill, which lies just below the White Horse at

Uffington in Berkshire, England. There is another such legend connected with

a bare spot near Aller in Somerset.

BLESSED BE.
