MOVING, & CLOSING DOWN OF OLD HOME.
In the excitement of moving to a new home, do not forget to close down your
ties with the old home.
Explain to your guardians about the move or release them at this time, & set
up new ones at the new home. If you don't do either of the above, they will
continue to protect the old one & may give the new occupants a hard time.
If your stay was a pleasant one, you will want to bring as many influences
with you as possible, from this happy place. If you have a garden walk
through it & speak to the elementals as you do, thank them & leave a last
offering.
If your stay was an unhappy one, please cleanse the area.
Before packing your ritual objects, sprinkle with blessed water & pack with
cleansing herbs or stones. Re-consecrate them ,if the stay was unpleasant.
As you pack your belongings, if you sense that certain objects appear to be
the centre of negative influences, such as gifts from disruptive people, or
items in rooms where arguments were frequently held, purify them or abandon
If you sense that the influence is baneful, bury it, after sprinkling it with
blessed water.
Always leave the home or room spotless & bless it as you leave for the last
time. Always leave some soap & toilet paper for the new tenants. A welcoming
note is always a positive thing to find when you move in, so start the ball
rolling.
If your stay was unpleasant, do the following: Bless each room with the 4
Elements, then say:
" May those who enter here find peace, love & happiness.
May their sleep be restful & sweet, May these walls encourage creativeness.
May their table groan with the weight of good food for all.
May all bane be cleansed away, by Earth, Air, Water & Fire.
In the name of the Triple Goddess & the Horned One. So mote it be."
If your stay was a pleasant one do the following: Cleanse home with all 4
elements. Then the head of the household carries a lit white candle as the
whole family walk through the home & say in each room the following words;
"We will hold these memories in our hearts & they will always stay with us,
even as we go on to new places & ways. Spirits of this place, we invite you
to come with us or if you wish to stay, may there always be peace between
us, we thank you for our pleasant stay & give you honour. Bless cakes & ale
& drink a toast to the elements & eat. [ take offering out side] May those
who enter here after we leave be welcomed in love, as we were.
May the Triple Goddess & the Horned bless you 3 times for the work you have
done. So mote it be. Farewell!
BLESSED BE.
