Thanksgiving Ritual
For spell or prayer answered

Altar set up.

God, goddess candles, elemental candles, symbols of god/dess, incense burner and incense, salt, snuffer, matches taper, place a white candle in a bowl and fill with water, float white flower heads in the water, bell, cakes and ale offering bowl (coin, crystal etc.) Use white cloth on altar, water, pentacle, wand and athame, oil.

Ring bell 3 times in each quarter and replace on altar.

Cast circle, do silent call to the elements.

Light elemental candles, then the other 3, starting with the one in bowl / cauldron, the goddess and god, bless the flames, light the incense and bless.

Bless the water and salt, (add a pinch of salt to the water.)

Carry incense around circle.

Carry fire's candle around circle.

Sprinkle water around circle, then say:

Air, fire, water, earth elements of astral birth I call you now to attend my rite,
Come in peace, come in power, come now at this hour,
Be welcome here tonight.

Stand briefly in goddess position and say:

O' maat
Lady of truth
Lady of judgement
Lady of justice
Goddess of balance and integrity
You who are truth and unconditional love
Attend my rite that i may give thee honour
and thanksgiving for thy gifts.
Honour to the scales of maat
Honour to the feather of maat
Honour to she who is the pattern of the universal law.

Stand in the god position briefly and say:

Bright shines our golden one
He who gives us light and warmth
Children of earth, give him honour and praise for he is the father of all.
Ra! Ra! Ra!
He who sails across our sky
Protector of man and beast
He who is kephera at midnight and Yule, both times of unseen beginnings
He who is heru at dawn and Ostara
He who is tem at downset and Mabon
He who is the avenger at noon and Litha
He who is our dark lord Osiris, lord of the winters night
I honour thee and thank thee for thy gifts
Attend my rite, hail Ra!

Ring bell 3 times.

Bless your offering and hold it high, then place before the gods and say:

Lord, lady,
What no human ear could hear, you heard
What no human eye could see, you saw,
What no human heart could bear, you transformed,
What no human hand could do, you did,
What no human power could change, you changed goddess and god, you through
whom all power flows, great source of all, creator and creatrix of the universe
Accept this humble token of thanks.

Hold up your offering bowl then lower it.

From your child. A child who spoke and was answered A child who offers thanks and gives you honour and love.

Take up oil and oil both god /dess symbols, then pause to reflect on what was given, touch the water on both sides of the bowl / cauldron with your fingertips while saying:

Lady of the moon and stars and of earth
Lord of the sun, of forests and the hills
I perform a ritual of thanks
My love shines like the flame
My love floats like these flowers upon you,
Lady of waters, of flowers and the sea.
Lord of air, of horns and of fire
My love shines like the flame
My love is like the incense rising to your realms
Accept my offering and ritual of thanks
Honour be to you gods of my heart and soul, smile down upon me this night.
Look into the candle flame, then the water and give a silent thanks.

Ring bell 3 times for cakes and ale, bless them and say:

My thanks to the fruitful earth,
May all present share my cakes and ale.
So mote it be.

Ring bell 3 times.

Lord, lady I thank you for attending my rite,
May all who attended this rite go in power, peace and friendship.
So mote it be.
Merry meet, merry part and merry meet again.

Snuff candles, then move widdershins 3 times around to release the circle.

Take water, incense ash, leftover cakes and ale, flowers and personal offering out side and place at you personal shrine or throw to the elements.

Feast begins.
