Blessing The New Home 2

 

 

 

It is an unfortunate fact that many of the things that may have happened in your new home before you moved in might have been unpleasant & these will cause problems if allowed to stay.

Clean the house properly. Sweep, wash, paint & put salt across doorways & window sills, do not forget the toilet & bath & basin plug holes, {remove all hair etc] It is a good idea to use both bleach [plus minus 3 hours then flush] & then follow with Dettol & salt. It is also a good idea to clean all drains at this point.

Take some pepper oil & make a pentacle in oil on each door within the home. Now open all the doors & windows, light a red candle & bless, take up your new broom & ritually sweep each room while you say the following: [NB. Never bring your old house-hold broom with you when you move, do the cleaning of the new place, then get rid of the old broom & any rags etc that were used before you move into the new place.]

"All negativity here in, I bring light & banish thee. This space is now protected by the Triple Goddess & The Horned One. I now invoke the Law of Three, As I will, so mote it be! "

Set up your household Shrine at this point & reactivate them & invite them to explore your new home & attend your rite.

The head of household now knocks 3 times on the front door & says:

" Watcher on the Threshold, Who looks both Ways & on all planes,

Who guards coming in, Who guards going out.

Watch over our family & our guests.

Guard our coming in, guard our going out, free us from negativity.

Open onto a home filled with love & peace & hospitality for all guests & loved ones.  Repel all bane be it through form, man, woman or child or of elemental realm. So mote it be."

Wine or ale is now blessed & all drink, some is now spilt on the threshold.

Each one present now enters & the door is closed & locked.

All move to where you have placed your Hearth Guardian. [If it is a stove turn it on, if it is a lamp, light it now, if it is a statue, oil it now, with oil of the Element Fire.] Now say:

" The heart of our / my home is burning brightly.

Queen of the Hearth, be here now in our new home,

Warm it & light it with love, keep love's flame high,

Burn & destroy all negativity & bane, So mote it be."

Hang some garlic in the kitchen at this point [blessed] & place an onion under the sink [blessed]

NB never use the garlic or onion for they will be filled with negativity & make you ill, bury in the Earth & replace when needed.] Leave offering for Hearth Guardian in a bowl, this will be given to the elements next day. [ turn off the stove if you are using it.] Return to Household Shrine & say:

" Beloved Guardians, Be welcome here in this place at this time,

This is our new home, Guard it well, work in harmony with each other for this is your new domain now. We give you honour, So mote it be."

Bless some flowers or herbs, preferably from the new garden or your old home, & place in a vase on the shrine. Now light some incense, the shrine candles, bless salt & water then say:

" We bless this house by air, with the breath of song & dance, of talking with friends,

The slow breaths of meditation, the energy producing breaths of rites, chants & prayer

The slow breaths of sleep, the energy producing breaths of love

By Air be clean, be fresh, be pure & be energised !"

Take the incense deosil around your new home, then return it to shrine.

Now rise the first candle you lit & say:

"We bless this house by Fire,  by the Fire that will warm it,

The fire that will cook our food, by the fire that will inspire us,

By the Fire that will empower us & our rites, & by the Fire that generates

By the Fire that burns within us & by the Fire that will protect us on all planes.

By Fire be clean, be fresh, be pure & be energised!

Take up the candle & walk it through the house deosil & return it to shrine.

"We bless this house by Water in its many forms,

By all the Water we drink & all that we cook with.

By all that we use for cleansing our selves, by all that we ritually cleanse

By the very blood that runs within us, by our tears of joy & sorrow.

By the Waters of the Womb of the Great Mother, by oceans deep.

By sacred wells & cauldrons of life, rebirth, protection & healing.

By Water be clean, be fresh, be pure & be energised.

Take up the water & sprinkle it deosil around the house & return it to shrine.

Raise up the salt bowl, sprinkle some on the shrine & say:

"We bless this house by Earth & its symbol salt,

We are creatures of Earth, living upon it, living from it, living within it.

She is our Mother & we honour her in all Her aspects.

Born of Her, we return to Her in time.

May Earth feed us with Her bounty, shelter us & protect us.

By Earth be clean, be fresh, be pure & energised!

Sprinkle salt deosil through out the home & then return it to shrine.

Ring bell 3 times.

Be silent & visualise the Divine Presence of the One that is both Lord & now say:

We bless this house by Spirit, by active & passive we bless it.

The Spirit that sustains us, wrapping around us, keeping us safe from all

Blessed Spirit we bow our heads in honour & love.

Bless our home Great One, that is many named, that it may be worthy of your presence.

So mote it be!

All Repeat: So mote it be!

Ring Bell 3 times.

Anoint your symbols of Godhead, then your guardians, Now anoint your athame with a peeled clove of garlic & then go to each room, moving deosil around the house make a protective rune on each window, inner doors & back or side doors & say at each portal: [ Each door & window]

"This opening is sealed, guarded against all that will harm "

You may wish to say something in each room as you finish each one or move on to cakes & ale,  Examples below.

 

THE KITCHEN

 

"May this kitchen be blessed, that all food prepared in it will not only give nourishment but pleasure.

So mote it be!"

DINING ROOM.

 

"May this dining room be blessed

May its table bring forth joy & happiness

May it be laden with the gifts of the Gods.

May many a toast to the Old Ones be said within these walls.

So mote it be!"

 

BATHROOM

 

May this bathroom be blessed

A place of cleansing & health

That all who may use it may be refreshed in mind, body & spirit.

So mote it be!"

 

THE BEDROOM

 

"May this bedroom be blessed

That it might give rest & peace to all who sleep here.

May it bring nights of pleasure & love & sweet dreams.

So mote it be! "

 

THE GUEST ROOM

 

"May this guest room be blessed

And be a place of welcoming rest

One of peace, a home from home to a weary traveller of life

A place of bonding & love

So mote it be!"

 

THE LOUNGE

 

"May this lounge be blessed!

And be a place of friendly conversation & relaxation

May those that enter here feel welcome & at ease

So mote it be!"

 

THE TV ROOM

 

"May this TV room be blessed

May it hum with music & laughter

May it promote dancing & games

And good hearted fun

May all be stimulated here, entertained & be of joyful heart

So mote it be!"

 

THE ENTRANCE HALL

 

"May our home's vibration be welcoming to those who enter here in love, peace & friendship.

May it repel those who would disturb the vibrations of peace within, affecting all planes.

So mote it be!"

Ring Bell for cakes & Ale, Bless & say:

"May the Divine Presence be felt within these walls

May our beloved Guardians feel welcome here, Paralda, Djinn, Nixa & Ghob & their helpers be welcome here."

We drink a toast to them.

All walk widdershins around the home, this rite is done.
