Solitary rite to dedicate self to father god aspect as priest after the first child is born.

Green cloth, god, goddess & candle for self all green, snuffer, matches, taper, oil, incense & burner, salt, water, wand, athame, crystals, cauldron, pentacle, book of shadows, bell, cakes & ale, new name, name of god, grape vine, grapes, pine, fir, cypress, ivy, oak, holly or any other greens at hand. Crown made of the greens & acorns leave some for altar decorations, fill the cauldron with fresh water, place before it a flower of your own choice for the goddess. This rite should be done sky clad if possible, in winter a dressing gown left open in the front may be used. The tree of your choice may stand next to your altar if it is to large for placing on it.

Have a ritual bath, set up your altar, then meditate on the changes now taking place in your life, seeing it as an ending of your warrior phase & shifting to the one of king, wise one of your household, home & hearth, the caretaker of the weak, the protector of this returned soul who has come to you as your son / daughter in per fect trust & love & taken on the karmic baggage of your name which carries both good & bad karma.

When you are ready ring the bell 3 times in each quarter. Stand before the altar in the god position for a while, then cast your circle with athame or finger, light incense, god & goddess candles, & the elemental candles, bless the altar with wand or finger then incense, candle flames, salt & water, flower, tree, & water in the cauldron. Do silent call, then take your incense around the circle, then the candle representing fire is walked around the circle, now place a pinch of salt in the bowl for water & stir deosil with your finger & sprinkle around the circle with rue or any twig or once again use your fingers. Dance around the circle [music of your own choice is used in any ritual] to raise power, when you are tired stand in the god position once more & breathe deeply and say:

Welcome lord & lady.

I stand before you at the threshold of a new life, one of father, [now rub the oil up & down your arms] i stand with willing arms to embrace my new life & open my heart [rub some oil on your heart area] to unconditional love. [now anoint third eye & say] grant me the wisdom to guide & counsel this soul who has entrusted himself / herself to my care, allow me to stand back & let him / her experience fully with out me imposing my will or trying to relive my life through him / her. Give me courage & strength to protect them from danger & bane during our time together if & when needed.

Allow me too experience this responsibility with pride & dignity. All father, i give thee honour & ask that you bless me & guide me from this day forth, hail ........[ Name of chosen god.] Lord smile down on me this night & bless my family. Great god, o creative force of the universe i greet you with love, beloved.......... I now claim the rank of fatherhood as my own & king shall i be to my woman & child & future children for all wiccans will recognise me as one who has been kinged before the gods. Guide me .........

Behold i have taken up the crown in the name of the lady & her horned consort, our fertile god & father. From this day forward i shall be known as one who has attained the dignity of fatherhood & has been kinged in the presence of the great father hear ye, all that are present my heart is filled with joy, my crown is a circle of golden light, my crown is the cauldrons rim my crown is a circlet of brotherhood. I am a king in the sight of the gods & all wicca blessed be the spiral of life.

Ring bell three times for cakes & ale.

If you live in a flat your tree may be planted in the covenstead 's garden or in any coven members garden.

More often our offerings are live trees, flowers &seeds which we plant in the gods honour for the benefit of all.

Neo-pagans are small pagans are small family groups, that prefer simplified rituals that even small children can take part in, it is more religious & tradition conscious than magical.

These people gather together once or twice a year, &call them selves new pagans & workers of earth magic, most of these rituals & spells are done without the casting of a circle &are solitary or within the family.

Neo- paganism has also incorporated many american indian tribal folk traditions, such as ancestor worship & mediumship. Like wiccans they honour the gods & the elemental realms.
