Every object, animate or inanimate is surrounded by its own energy field called an aura. When we use a gemstone within our own aura it is then influenced by the gem's aura. When you are within a 3 foot range of any gemstone, you are within its energy field of influence. So, as can be seen, your chosen gem influences others who enter your auric space & you in turn are influenced the gems worn by others if you are close enough. For the maximum benefit, wear your stones against your skin. Some parts of the body are best for maximum results. Consider your left side of the body. [ for those who are right handed, lefties reverse process please.] Your entire left side is the most sensitive side of your body. It receives all the energy from outside yourself & directs it to the Solar Plexus. These influences can create sudden mood swings. When you consciously wear gems on your left side you can more easily absorb the gem 's qualities & control & modify stresses from your environment. Stones that banish negativity & those used for protection should always be used on your left side.
