Homosexuality Defined

At conception when an egg is fertilize the fetus begins its life female. It is only due to the exposure within the womb to the male hormone that triggers the transition to male.
The male sperm has either an X or Y chromosome. The female egg contains an X chromosome. An X and X makes a girl and an X and a Y creates a boy. The Y is the master switch for creating a male so it is the male that determines the gender of the fetus.

The timing and quantities of testosterone will influence the developing male brain in roughly 3 stages; the sex centre, the mating centre and the gender role centre.
The sex centre is the typical male physical characteristic.
The mating centre controls sexual behavior in adult life.
The gender role centre lays down the network in the brain which control behavior like, levels of aggression v/s timidity, sociability v/s individualism etc

If the amount of male hormone at any of these stages is too low the natural female pattern will survive which is why you can have someone that looks typically male, behaves typically male but is attracted to men, or over exposure to the male hormone in female development could cause a female to develop a male like brain in any or more of the 3 stages of development, etc.
The amount need to tip the balance of male hormones is miniscule and measured in thousand-millionth parts of a gram.

What causes this over or under exposure to the male hormones is still theoretical but it could be due to the following.
1) High amount of stress during pregnancy. War, famine, disease, rape, abuse etc.
2) Drugs/Medication

The biological cause of homosexuality is therefore no different than any other biologically determined state of being like left handedness or Down-syndrome.

The main problem homosexual’s face is not of their own making, but our intolerance of them which may be biologically wired into our brains as a part of aggressive behavior towards outsiders.

Top 12 Reasons Why Gays Shouldn't Be Allowed to Marry

(This has been around the internet for a while)

1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.

3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

6. Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire counrty. That's why we have only one religion in America.

8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. (My note: this one's my favorite! Whenever I bring up the "It's just love" factor in a gay marriage debate, that's always thrown at me, but now I have a response to it!)

10. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

11. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to things like cars or longer lifespans.

12. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "separate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as seperate marriages for gays and lesbians will.
